Jennifer Lee is the Julian Clarence Levi Professor of Social Sciences at Columbia University and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Russell Sage Foundation—the first Asian American to hold this position. She is author or co-author of four-award winning books, including Asian American Achievement Paradox. Lee has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Academy of Political and Social Science, and serves on the Board of Obama Presidency Oral History. Her essays and commentary have appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, CNN, and Science among other venues.
