Matthew Yonemura (He/Him) is from Southern California has been on staff at Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) for 4 years. He is the assistant program manager overseeing Changing Tides, a program aiming to normalize mental health through conversation and direct resources, and also Okaeri, a LGBTQ+ Nikkei community to support the community and its allies. Outside of his work at LTSC, Matthew is also a filmmaker and is currently screening the Ryse Up Documentary, a feature-length documentary about basketball star Ryse Williams, Matthew’s classmate from high school who lost his life from a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
